Springbank Equestrian Society

The Springbank Equestrian Society consists of 3 main user groups consist of Springbank Rawhides 4-H Club, Calgary Western Riders and Sarcee Pony club.   Below please find general information and contact details for each club.   I hope you can incorporate this into your web site somehow.  If you have any questions, certainly call me.

Sarcee Pony Club - part of Canadian Pony Club, offering instruction in stable management, dressage, jumping and cross- country for ages 7 to 21(up to age 25 for returning members). For further information please call Pat Duke at 403 246-5641 or Danielle Williams at 403 249-8477

Springbank Rawhides 4-H Club.  Our main focus is Western Horsemanship skills, both mounted and dismounted. Our club is also interested in non equine projects as well.   4-H is for children ages 9-21 years.  Our project year starts in September and runs till the end of May each year.  Our club participates in the 4-H on Parade which is at the end of May at Stampede Park.

Calgary Western Riders is a  gymkhana club that is dedicated to promoting fun, safety and enjoyment for both horse and rider of all ages and experience level; We facilitate the pursuit of equine activities in a fun, family-oriented and relaxed atmosphere and encourage good sportsmanship and good horsemanship. We also promote the conservation of western principles and preservation of the history of the Club.

The 2011 gymkhanas will take place on May 29, June 26, July 24, Aug 28, Sept 25. All events start at 10:00 AM and registration closes at 9:30 AM.  Visitors are welcome (they will be required to sign a liability waiver and their points will not count for the year end total).  Western Riders is a family based gymkhana club with members ranging from out 3 year old little tiny mites to our senior division.   Our club has monthly gymkhanas  running from May through to September each year which are run at the Springbank Equestrian Society.

Springbank Equestrian Society and Park can provide rental of our facilities.  We have a small meeting hall with basic kitchen facilities.  Our outdoor facilities consist of (2) 100" x 200' riding rings, a small warm up ring and a 3 acre cross country jump course.    We are located at 25 Robinson Road, Rockyview County.  Our facility is located off of Lower Springbank Road in Springbank.  For rental inquiries please contact Norma at 403-258-3691.
